Knowledge centre position of singles
CISA carries out research and studies into the social-economical, judicial and social position
of single people in society. Besides the legal anchorage and its corresponding institutional protection
of the family, durable social attachments of singles should obtain a legal foundation also.
In close co-operation with the Faculty of Law of Tilburg University (UvT), a scientific basis is laid
for modernising the structure of relationships. This modernisation should take effect by extending the
existing persons and family law with social family law, in order for singles with their social attachments
to secure a place in it as well. The single's social life has also become a special field of study at
the Section of family and youth right of the faculty of law of the university.
CISA is currently engaged in research for a doctorate degree at Tilburg University in order to lay the basis
for the legal anchorage of durable social attachments of singles. |
